How does recycling influence design?

In design, sustainability has gone from being a consideration to a primary focus when creating. Designers are forced to begin investigating materials more in-depth; looking beyond aesthetics and functionality and taking into account that every decision has an environmental impact.

Every small action we take has a reason, but are we aware of it? Do we really question how it will impact the planet? Most of the time, we don't.

This is how we decided to take action and experiment with new materials, gradually implementing them in new pieces to create eco-friendly objects. We began working with materials such as recycled glass and sawdust, and we also ran tests with resin, and the results were fantastic. The colors of the crushed glass and sawdust combined with the resin resulted in a finish that exceeded our expectations. You can see how the process unfolded in this post…

As inhabitants of this planet, we must have a collective awareness about recycling and products made from recycled materials.
